‘Communication of Mechanism in Light Industry’ (mimeograph) was published in 1983 and 22 periodicals had been printed to the end of 1985. They included 12 pulp & paper specials, 6 food specials and 4 daily chemical specials.

　　It was renamed ‘Light Industry Machinery’ as a periodical of technology (letterpress printing) in 1986 and issued inside.

　　It became a international periodical of technology (offset point) authorized by national science committee in 1993 and already published 67 specials.

　　With innovation of system and demand of market economy, ‘Mechanism in Light Industry’ has already been opened to market completely. It services for light industry trade and users and persons of technology who undertake research, design, manufacture, management of machines and fittings in light industry. Aiming at adapting it to the demand of market economy and the both benefit harvests of society and economy, the staffs in newsroom has tried hard to improve the level of technology and enhance the intermediary function of service.

　　It has already been confirmed national center periodical of China and completely embodied in ‘China Scientific Periodical’ (CD), ‘China Periodical Net’, ‘China Synthesis evaluation Database of Scientific Periodical’, ‘Wanfang Data-digital Periodical Group’ and ‘Chinese Periodical Database of Science and Technology’.
